IBM Q, Blockchain, TJBot, dev careers, IoT predictions, Devoxx... So much news!
What a couple of weeks we have had!
Check our newest developerWorks newsblast for a snippet of what has been going on at IBM over the past couple of weeks: from unveiling new commercially available quantum computers, to building your own Watson-controlled bot, and launching a new developerWorks TV IoT show.
The blockchain journey for developers is just beginning!
Blockchain, or distributed ledger technology, is the emerging tech that everyone's talking about. And developers everywhere are asking: What's so great about it, how can I use it to solve my business problems, and where can I try it out? At developerWorks, we've got answers, and we gather them up for you for easy access. We've just launched a monthly roundup of the best free tools, training, and community resources to help you put blockchain to work. Take a look at the current issue of the new Blockchain newsletter, and if you like what you see, subscribe.
You do not need to be a theoretical physicist to connect to IBM’s quantum processor via the IBM Cloud. Following IBM Research’s 2016 Quantum Experience initiative to make a quantum computer available to everyone, IBM is continuing to put tools in the hands of software developers to start experimenting with quantum technology. “IBM Q” quantum systems and services let run algorithms and experiments, work with the individual quantum bits, and explore tutorials and simulations around what might be possible with quantum computing. New tools include: Quantum API and QISKit open source project. Read more.
Are you planning on attending the Devoxx conference in San Jose next week? See the previews we have put together for you: 2 minute run-down on Devoxx topics and IBM Fellow and Chief Architect, IBM Watson, Ruchir Puri's keynote on how Artificial Intelligence (AI) will change our approach to building apps and leveraging data.
Our team at developerWorks is dedicated to helping developers build their skills and advance their careers around emerging and game-changing technologies, whether you are just getting started or continuing to build more advanced developing skills.
